Fire Will Come, directed by Oliver Laxe, who received a Un Certain Regard prize at The 72nd Cannes Film Festival was shown as part of the New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival. His debut, the documentary film You are All Captains, won the FIPRESCI prize in the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival in 2010. His second film, Mimosas, won the Grand Prix of the 2016 International Critics’ Week at Cannes. Fire Will Come is Laxe’s third full-length film. It was shot in the Galician language in the homeland of Laxe’s ancestors.
